Tis the season to be spooky

I don’t know about you but once the kids are back in school it’s full steam ahead. I’m ready to decorate for Halloween, craving turkey dinners and getting ideas for Christmas gifts jotted down. I usually wait to decorate for Halloween for one very practical reason only….hurricane season. Every year when I’ve bone all out with my spooky decorations outdoors I’ve had to pull them in prematurely and hunker down or evacuate for a hurricane. September 1st is a little over a week away and for me it’s the first official day of fall. (But yes, HEATHER, I am enjoying my pumpkin spiced coffee in the morning now in August.) We will definitely be decking the halls with spider webs and skeletons and bats. I’m just pushing pause on going all out until the risk of having to take them down prematurely is over. But it’s time! Tis the season to be spooky.

But for reallllllll! The decorations that have been released this year are absolute fire. I have so so so many on my wish list.

6′ spider? Yes please.
Yes I will sip my PSL outta this bad boy.

I’m despearate to find an inflatable of the Mickey pumpkin so if you see one let me know! Are you excited for Halloween? Decorating now? Already sipping your pumpkin spiced latte? Or nah? I truly don’t understand the people that hate the Halloween lovers. I for one won’t be putting my Christmas tree up on November 1st, but do I begrudge anyone that does? Nah. You do you, boo. Speaking of boo, that reminds me. Tis the season to be spooky.

  1. Bring on Fall!!!!! I don’t love Halloween – Thanksgiving is definitely my thing – but who can resist cooler weather, pumpkin everything, and that different feeling that accompanies leaving summer behind?!
